We aim to respond to all rental requests within 2 hours during business hours (8:00 AM - 10:00 PM CET). For requests submitted outside business hours, you'll receive a response by the next business morning. Our 24/7 emergency support line is available for urgent matters.

Can I modify or cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, bookings can be modified up to 24 hours before pickup at no charge, subject to vehicle availability. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to a 50% charge, and cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the full rental amount. Contact your assigned manager or our support team for any changes.

Yes, we offer complimentary delivery and collection at major airports and city centers across our operating locations. For deliveries outside these areas, a distance-based fee applies (typically €2-5 per kilometer). Premium concierge delivery to hotels, private residences, or specific addresses is available. We can also arrange meet-and-greet services at airports.

Yes, full insurance with a deductible (also called excess) is included in all our rentals. The deductible amount varies by vehicle. In case of damage or theft, you are only liable up to the deductible amount, not the full cost of damages. The deductible is your maximum financial responsibility. All cars have the same full insurance coverage with deductible. All insurance details including your specific deductible amount are clearly outlined in your rental agreement.

A security deposit is required for all rentals and varies by vehicle. The deposit is pre-authorized on your credit card at pickup. The deposit may be used to cover fuel differences, exceeded mileage charges, traffic fines, toll charges, and can contribute towards the deductible if damage occurs. Your deposit is refunded within 14 days after vehicle return, minus any applicable deductions. Ocars processes payments and holds deposits directly for our customers, acting in your interest when dealing with car rentals. This provides additional security, protecting you from risks associated with rental companies that may misuse deposits. We accept only credit cards (not debit cards) for security deposits.

All rentals include full insurance with a deductible (excess). If damage occurs, you are only liable up to the deductible amount, not the full cost of damages. The deductible amount varies by vehicle. You must report any damage immediately to our 24/7 support team. We'll arrange for inspection and repairs. The deductible may be charged to your security deposit if it applies.

Rental prices are based on the vehicle category, rental duration, season, and location. Longer rentals typically receive better daily rates. Your manager will provide a detailed breakdown when confirming your booking.

All vehicles are provided with a full tank and should be returned with a full tank (Full-to-Full policy). If returned without refueling, we charge the missing fuel at market rate plus a €50 refueling service fee. You are responsible for fueling the car with the correct fuel type. For petrol cars, ensure at least 98 octane fuel is used. Misfueling costs are charged according to insurance policy—up to the deductible (excess) amount.

Most rentals include 150-200 kilometers per day (varies by vehicle). Each vehicle page clearly states the included km per day. Additional mileage can be purchased at booking or during the rental. The cost per extra kilometer varies by vehicle and is shown on each vehicle page. There are no unlimited mileage options. All mileage terms are clearly stated in your rental agreement.

Cross-border travel is allowed with prior authorization. Any country or route requires approval from our team. There are no extra fees for approved cross-border travel. Always inform your manager of intended travel routes during booking so we can provide necessary authorization and ensure full insurance coverage.

All vehicles are meticulously maintained and inspected before each rental. In the unlikely event of a breakdown, our 24/7 roadside assistance is included at no extra cost. Call the emergency number provided with your vehicle. We provide immediate support, towing if needed, and a replacement vehicle of similar category when possible. Our support team is available around the clock across Europe.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes, rental extensions are possible subject to vehicle availability and your manager's approval. Contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled return to request an extension. We'll check availability and provide pricing for the additional days. Extensions are confirmed once payment is processed.

What if I need to return the car early?

If you need to return the vehicle earlier than planned, contact your manager as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for unused rental days as the vehicle was reserved exclusively for you.

Yes, we offer long-term rentals for rentals of 24+ days with preferential rates. Most cars have special rates from 24+ days. Maximum rental duration for a single car is 6 months, after which rotation to another vehicle is needed. Any scheduled maintenance will be performed during long-term rentals. Contact us for a customized quote for long-term rentals. Corporate and business accounts receive additional benefits.
